Hi Jill :)
Yummy, yummy, yummy. :) Artichokes, yep, especially good when dipping in some fresh creamy lite veggie dip, yep. :) Thank you for the challenge topic, it was a great ideal to pull us out of the colorless winter. :)
Always, Carly
They're all excellent, but those artichoke shots are simply astounding! Who knew an artichoke could be beautiful and mysterious?
Your photos are absolutely gorgeous! I have tried and tried but can never get a clear crisp close up like you have. I never realized how beautiful artichokes were!
The thing I want to know about artichokes is who looked at that and thought "Yeah, I can eat that."
It's all pokey and sharp on the outside and you have to scrape out all the furry stuff in the middle to get to the best part.
I am guessing it was a fair amount of trial and error in figuring out how to eat that thing: raw or cooked? leaves or no leaves? and the heart... well first you have to find it!
Now, this is how it's done. Gorgeous shots, especially the artichokes and papayas. Beautiful!
Thanks, Jill, for a fun assignment.
:-)
Vicki
