Red wine... I love you... Red wine... I hate you

Yep, I drank too much last night.
Red, red wine.
Evil elixir.

It has been a while since I have drank so much that I felt like puking.
I am not even sure how it happened.

We had some leftovers for dinner. Pot roast. Yum. Big glass of Cabernet. Yum.

More Cabernet.

Out of Cab. How about a glass of Zin.

That Zin was so good. But quite strong.

I did feel quite foggy-headed this morning when I rolled out of bed at 9:15.

But I am feeling better now after a big glass of water and some tea. I think I might make it after all.

But no wine for me today.

Bad association there for at least a few days.

There's something about red wine.
Maybe it's the sulfites?
It always makes me vomit if I drink more than two glasses.

And I'm sure, you really HAD to know that about me. Right? (giggle)

I heart wine.

Wine is the alcoholic substance I can drink and drink and drink. And drink some more. And not get drunk, and usually not have a hangover. And not ever get sick.

Oh, my, isn't that the truth?! I can't drink more than a glass and a half without a gallon of water and a ton of bread.

I've been hangover-free since I started drinking a glass of water and popping a couple of Advil BEFORE I go to bed.

Connie: Red wine has a lot of tannins, which can trigger headaches.

Lou: I heart it, too. Which is why I have a giant temperature controlled cabinet of it in the other room. But moderation is my friend.

Wordnerdy: I am that way with beer. And I think my problem is that I went from a really heavy, rich Cab to a really heavy, rich Zin. But damn they both tasted so good.

Angela: I hear you Angela. More cheesy bread next time I want to over wine.

Jim: I agree with you on the water. But a lot of those pain relievers warn about using them with alcohol. I would check the label to make sure.

Wine does get me drunker quicker than anything else. But I don't get hungover. Ever. And beer I can drink and drink and drink and drink. It's the nectar of the gods.

Give yourself a few years, Lou. You may get those hangovers yet.
I never got them in my 20s either. I think 33 was the magic year for me when I had to be careful about what I drank.
